2. 15 Years of Excellence: Celebrating a Milestone

This year marked CODICE’s 15th anniversary. Since our founding in 2009 as Health IT 2 Business Solutions, we have grown from a health IT-focused company into a versatile provider of:

3. International Trade Mission: Expanding Horizons in Argentina and Uruguay

In 2024, CODICE proudly participated in the DC International Trade Mission, engaging with leaders in the Information Technology sector across Argentina and Uruguay. The mission provided valuable B2B networking opportunities, insights into the South American economy, and prospects for international collaboration.

4. Enhancing Government Operations: A Year of Partnership with DGS

CODICE celebrated over a year of collaboration with the District of Columbia’s Department of General Services (DGS) as part of the LAST Team initiative. We have been instrumental in managing DGS’s Salesforce-based CRM system, efficiently processing work order tickets submitted from various public DC locations.

Our contributions include:

In 2024, CODICE earned a prestigious spot on the Washington Business Journal’s Top 40 ranking of small technology companies in the greater Washington area. This exclusive list highlights locally headquartered tech firms with 150 or fewer employees, based on 2023 revenue.

CODICE secured the #33 rank—a remarkable achievement given the scale of our operations compared to other companies on the list. This recognition reflects the dedication, innovation, and collective effort of the entire CODICE team.

6. Diversity Recognition: Ranked 6th in Washington Business Journal’s Corporate Diversity Index

CODICE was honored to be ranked 6th in the 2024 Washington Business Journal’s Diversity Index for small businesses. This recognition highlights our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. This is is the third top ten ranking CODICE has earned since 2021.

    CODICE was a proud sponsor of the Sri Lanka HackX 9.0 startup challenge, providing a platform for university students to showcase their talents on a national scale. CEO Dash Kiridena personally met with the winning team in Sri Lanka, celebrating their achievements and exploring their aspirations.

8. New Contract Work in 2024

EventsDC

CODICE partnered with EventsDC to provide a solution to the complex, dynamic nature of the data collection process. CODICE developed a centralized cloud-based Data Lake solution, leveraging various data analytics tools, techniques, and predictive models to create comprehensive visuals and extract valuable insights.

CODICE sourced and integrated diverse datasets into the Data Lake, including Spend data from 3,000 financial institutions, encompassing 90 million credit cards with over 10 billion transactions annually. Additionally, Event data from platforms like Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, Live Nation, Eventbrite, and others was incorporated to enhance event visibility.

CODICE also completed phase 1 of the data migration project for EventsDC, establishing the groundwork for a robust integration framework that enables seamless transfer of employee data from Oracle Cloud HCM to UKG.

The primary aim of EDC's project is to eliminate duplicate data entry and streamline data maintenance procedures during new employee onboarding, employee management, and terminations. Additionally, CODICE implemented data validation and verification mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee information.

District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DC DOES)

CODICE is involved in developing new enhancements for a modern unemployment insurance (UI) tax and benefits solutions derived from identified operational objective, existing business processes, functions, and industry research, evaluating output requirements and formats, and by conducting and coordinating financial, product, market, and operational research to support strategic and business planning within various departments and programs of the District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DC DOES) agency.

Our solution includes implementing a 508 compliant Interactive Voice Response (IVR), a reporting interface for IVR data, and our system also supports external user interface to the modernized solution, includes Internet (browser-based application), e-mail, fax, telephone, IVR, data file transfer (FTP, server-to-server, web services, and magnetic media).

District of Columbia’s District Department of Transportation (DC DDOT)

CODICE was awarded a contract with District of Columbia’s District Department of Transportation (DC DDOT) with the goal of transforming their current legacy Transportation Online Permitting System (TOPS) into an enhanced Modernized Permitting System (MPS). CODICE is developing a customized cloud- native solution to align with the latest cloud Infrastructure as a Service (laaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies, establishing an advanced digital permitting platform tailored for the distinctive governance structure of the District of Columbia and DDOT. CODICE's primary objective is to ensure that MPS not only streamlines but also enhances DC DDOT’s permitting processes and overall user experience.

These processes encompass various stages, including submission, validation, assessment, modifications, approvals or rejections, compliance checks, inspections, enforcement activities, as well as internal and external performance reporting. During this system transformation, CODICE has created a detailed plan for comprehensive data migration from TOPS to MPS, ensuring secure, seamless data migration with a positive user experience in mind. Furthermore, CODICE will deploy a structured change management strategy emphasizing communication, training, and support to facilitate a smooth transition for all stakeholders as they move from TOPS to MPS.

CODICE will utilize Tableau for DC DDOT parking data visualization and business intelligence, allowing for DC DDOT staff to efficiently collaborate, visualize, and share data in various ways. Through Tableau, our data engineers performed tasks regarding Data Connectivity, Data Preparations, Data Visualization, Data Analysis, Data Sharing, Mobile Analytics, and enhancing collaboration opportunities within Tableau.

District of Columbia’s Department of Human Services (DC DHS)

CODICE developed a transformative digital platform for the District of Columbia's Department of Human Services (DC DHS), specifically designed to simplify the complex documentation process for multiple assistance programs including SNAP, E-SNAP, TANF/GC, Medicaid, and Burial services. By integrating React's dynamic front-end capabilities with .NET Core Web API's robust backend infrastructure, the application delivers a responsive, secure, and scalable solution that dramatically enhances the applicant experience.

The application enables applicants to navigate complex documentation requirements while reducing confusion, potential application errors, and customer support time. Its robust architecture ensures seamless performance, secure data handling, and an intuitive user experience that simplifies interactions between residents and government services. Through this strategic technological approach, CODICE has created a digital solution that not only meets technical excellence standards but also significantly improves the accessibility and efficiency of critical human services support.
